I love Sharpkey and I'm psyched about SiVo, but those won't let people import their own UTAUs just yet (if ever!)
I'm excited to see how VOCALUTAU works if it ever comes out!
Sharpkey. It sounds really good as far as quality goes, and the interface is pt tight. It is intuitive and user friendly and doesn't seem to distort voice quality as much as other synthesizers.
UTSU most definitely! Sivo and Sharpkey are just new vocalsynth projects, entirely independent of UTAU. UTSU is actually made for the purpose of being a multiplatform frontend for existing UTAU resamplers and voicebanks. The developer made an UTAforum thread about it here: http://utaforum.net/threads/utsu-a-cross-platform-vocal-synth-frontend.17476/
just checked out UTSU and i'm definitely going to try it out now that a usable version is available. hopefully we have a suitable replacement for UTAU soon since after the end of VB6 support it'll be really tough for people on lower end computers to find a way to run UTAU.
I'm very excited for what Synthesizer V has to offer, but custom voicebanks are just a speculation right now, so it may or may not count. Either way, since I'm not 100% sure, I'll include it anyway.
Synthesizer V probably doesn't count due to a likely lack of custom banks . . . But every time I see or hear it I just fangirl a tiny bit.
It sounds and looks so awesome . . . ! If it costs money, I'll probably buy it
The safest assumption for any new vocalsynth is that it is not an UTAU replacement and will not allow custom voices. To assume that it will be is (in my opinion) selfishness on the UTAU community's part, and as vocalsynth fans we should appreciate and support new developments regardless of whether or not we can shove our own voices into them.
