Like I wanna know what you guys think about this, even if it's just that i'm dumb.
I'm not claiming that they are the same or unoriginal or anything, just that I can't seem to figure this out. For example, if you put Miku, Rin, IA, and gum into a song, I would probably have a LOT of difficulties telling you who is who. Like unless there's some sort of visual, or it's tuned in such a way that really emphasizes the characteristics of the voice, I cannot tell them apart no matter how hard I try.
It's not that I have a bad musical ear, I'm great at playing the piano by ear and transcribing music. And it's not that i'm not familiar enough with different Vocaloids because of i pretty much listen to exclusively Vocaloid.
I would have trouble telling apart Len, Fukase, and Piko as well, so it's not just the females. Certain vocaloids have unique voices, like V FLower, Kaai Yuki, Gachapoid, etc. So I could never mistake them. The V2 engloids also have a lot of personalities (its hard, not to recognize big al or Tonio's funny voices)
Anyone else feel like this?? I feel like an asshole who is all salty whenever a new Vocaloid comes out, and I say I can't tell it apart from Miku (a recent example being Otomachi Una, I swear to god I couldn't tell the sweet and spicy banks apart). Am I listening to Vocaloid wrong??
